Question: What's the best way to get to the Ball?

Answer: Through the courtesy shuttle service, which is available for a $25 round-trip nominal fee.

Question: Where is the pickup location for the shuttle service?

Answer: Because of changing security measures, we're finalizing those details with our vendor. Please check back on the website for updates.

Question: How often will the shuttle service run?

Answer: We have requested shuttle service to run every 30 minutes, round robin.

Question: Until what time?

Answer: Until 1 am.

Question: Do you need a ticket to get back on the shuttle?

Answer: Yes, you will need to show your ticket and photo ID, in order to check your name against the List of authorized guests.

Question: Can I pay the driver of the shuttle bus on January 20th?

Answer: No; the driver can not accept payment. All payments must be made online in advance and received/cleared no later than 12 Noon, January 19th.

Question: Will there be security?

Answer: Yes; the OAS is a building with certain privileges and immunities. Therefore, expect to go through security.

Question: What items are not allowed at the Ball?

Answer: A good guide is anything you are not allowed to travel with on an airplane; no food, no smoking, no flammable materials, etc. Please note, in anticipation of Obama's attendance, all guests will be subject to heightened security measures.

Question: What's the difference between the $250 and $500 VIP tickets?

Answer: The VIP ticket holder is entitled to access to a separate red carpet VIP Reception, which offers the opportunity to meet elected officials in a more intimate setting, in addition to access to the Hall of the Americas, where $250 ticketholders have unfettered access.

Question: Would I feel comfortable attending the ball by myself?

Answer: Yes; singles are always welcomed to enjoy an evening of networking and dancing.

Question: Do I have to pay online?

Answer: Because of the number of factors involved with staging this event, the most efficient method of capturing all of the information necessary for planning purposes is through an online payment system. If you do not have a computer, perhaps you can borrow a friend's.

Question: Will there be photographers to take personal pictures?

Answer: Yes, and those pictures will be made available for sale at a nominal fee for the benefit of all three hosting organizations.

Question: What happens if it snows?

Answer: The show will go on.

Question: Can I wear a suit?

Answer: Attire is black tie.

Question: How much is coat check?

Answer: Free.

Question: How much are drinks?

Answer: Free, it's open bar.
